RESSONA PRESENTS

A Curated Series of Intimate Performances

A letter to our dearest music lover friends:

It is often said that classical music is “fading.”

As a musician, I have always felt a quiet but profound pain in hearing this.

Music has been my lifelong devotion.

It taught me how to listen, how to feel, and how to connect with others.
Without it, life would feel hollow — like a body in motion, but without meaning.

It is for this reason that, as a musician-led organization, RESSONA is devoted to the preservation and continuation of classical music.

We believe this art form is not only to be remembered, but to be lived — to be experienced, shared, and continually rekindled in the present moment.

What we seek is not simply to present performances, but to create a space for true listening — where people meet through sound, and resonate in silence.

If music can still move even one person, then it is still alive.
And as long as it lives, so will we.

On April 18, tenor Ziwen Xiang joins us for an intimate recital devoted to the Italian and French vocal repertoire — a program of lyric refinement, dramatic intensity, and timeless expression.

A frequent collaborator with institutions including the Metropolitan Opera Guild, New York City Opera, and Carnegie Hall, Mr. Xiang brings both international experience and a deeply personal artistic voice. In the close setting of Ressona, his performance unfolds with a rare immediacy — where nuance, text, and tone are felt in their fullest dimension.

The evening will feature works by Tosti, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, and Massenet, alongside instrumental interludes by Debussy and Mascagni, performed with pianist Tamara Kim.
